The Current Direct project was proud to participate in EUROPORT 2025, one of Europe’s leading maritime exhibitions, where the consortium hosted its own dedicated exhibition stand to present the latest developments of the project and engage directly with the wider maritime and energy community.

Having a stand at EUROPORT provided an excellent platform to showcase Current Direct’s progress, technical achievements, and vision for enabling clean, flexible, and modular energy solutions in maritime transport. Throughout the event, project partners shared insights into the project’s innovative approach to containerized, swappable battery-based energy systems, designed to support decarbonization across a wide range of maritime applications.
The event also served as a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange. Members of the Current Direct team engaged in in-depth discussions with industry leaders, technology providers, port stakeholders, and ship operators from across Europe, exchanging perspectives on the challenges and opportunities associated with maritime electrification, energy storage, and operational flexibility. These conversations helped position Current Direct within the broader European effort to accelerate the maritime energy transition.

A particular highlight of EUROPORT 2025 was the strong interest shown by visitors to the stand. The curiosity, questions, and technical discussions throughout the exhibition reflected a growing appetite within the sector for practical, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that can support the shift towards low-carbon shipping. Several new organizations expressed interest in the project’s work and have since joined the Current Direct stakeholder community, further strengthening the project’s network and outreach activities.
The consortium would like to extend a sincere thank you to all visitors who took the time to stop by the stand, engage in discussions, and share their insights. This level of engagement plays a key role in ensuring that the project’s developments remain aligned with real-world needs and industry expectations.
Following a successful presence at EUROPORT 2025, the Current Direct team remains motivated as the project moves forward to its next milestones, continuing its mission to support the transition towards more sustainable, resilient, and innovative maritime energy systems.
